What is PFHA?

The Philadelphia Field Hockey Association is a group of club teams for women who are not currently playing in high school or college. There are about 30 teams and 3 divisions. Division 1 has the highest level of competition. Games are played over the Philly area depending on your home field. Most away games are within an hour drive. The regular season starts the weekend after Labor Day and games are played every Saturday at 9am for about 10 weeks, unless otherwise negotiated by managers. All players have to be a member of the USFHA (about $50) and additional team fees are about $50. Peg Kendrick is the new member chair and can tell you which teams need players (email Peg or call at 215-790-0832). If you leave her a message, tell her where you live, what position you play, and your desired level of competition.

Application for insurance certificate from USFHA (download, requires Adobe Acrobat viewer). There is a $100 fee and please allow the USFHA 30 days to process the application. An insurance certificate is required only at the request of the facility at which your team is playing.
